The South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers and the South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors honored those who passed the Professional Engineering and Professional Land Surveying exams on Monday, July 13, 2015 at the South Carolina State House.
The South Carolina Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, SCSPE and SCSPLS hosts this ceremony annually to recognize those individuals who worked so hard to gain their licensure. SCSPE would like to recognize the following who attended the ceremony with their friends and families: Jeffrey Cole, PLS, Veronica Barredo, PE, Jason Edmonds, PE, Max Morgan, PE, James Salter, PE, Keith Savastano, PE and Brian Ulmer, PE.
After the Registration Board awarded certificates to those who attended, SCSPLS Past-President Elliotte Quinn, PLS and SCSPE Past-President Marguerite McClam, PE addressed the group with words of encouragement. McClam told the group to take pride in the fact the newly licensed engineers can call themselves Professional Engineers. She urged attendees to join both a technical association as well as a professional association in order to give back to the profession that will give them so much. Finally, she also told the newly licensed engineers to talk to their collogues and other engineers. There is a wealth of information that can be obtained by talking to others in the profession.
Directly following the ceremony, attendees joined SCSPE and SCSPLS members at the Palmetto Club for a reception in their honor.
Congratulations to the newly licensed Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
