Not much to report this week. The legislature did return on Tuesday and Wednesday to tackle the tax conformity bill and address some of the gubernatorial vetoes. The revenue neutral tax conformity bill passed Wednesday afternoon and was sent to the Governor for his signature. McMaster said the following on social media about the bill, “It took bipartisan leadership in both the House and the Senate to get the extremely important tax conformity bill to my desk and I’m proud to have just signed it into law. This is good news for every South Carolina taxpayer and business.”
