Good morning. Happy South Carolina Professional Engineers Day, and welcome to Spring. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to longer days, milder temperatures, and being able to spend more time outside.
A year ago, this time SCSPE had closed its HQ, and we were all working from our homes. It seems like it was so long ago, but at the same time, it feels like it was just yesterday. Though many of you may still be working remotely, SCSPE has been back in the office since June. We hope everyone is back in their offices sooner than later. South Carolinas percent positive continues to decline, and we hope to continue this trend. Currently, there have been 29,613,017 total cases and 538,038 death in the US. Here in South Carolina, we have seen 459,417 cases and close to 8 000 deaths. Nationwide 13.45% of the population has been fully vaccinated, and 12.49% of South Carolinians are vaccinated. Currently, Engineers are in the next group that will be vaccinated.
