We had a small group join me at the Statehouse for SC Engineers Day. With the Senate tackling Santee Cooper and meeting in a perfunctory session and the House working on the budget, it made scheduling our EWeek /SC Engineers Day a little tricky. Thanks to SCSPE Vice President Carlos Gittens, PE, F.NSPE, SCSPE Secretary/Treasurer Jasyon Jordan, PE, and S&ME’s Melvin Williams for coming to help us celebrate. Representative Russell Ott stepped out and spoke to our engineers briefly, and we were able to take a quick photo with him.
