As we all know, we’re in month 11 of living in the COVID-19 Pandemic era. I do not think any of us thought we would still be living with this disease when we first started hearing about it a year ago. As of February 15, 2021, there have been a total of 27,417,468 confirmed cases in the US, and 482,536 people have died. To put that in perspective, that is almost equivalent to losing the entire population of the city of Raleigh, North Carolina. According to the latest census data, Raleigh has a population of 483,579. Here in South Carolina, we have 427,763 cases, and 7,180 people have died from complications due to the Corona Virus. South Carolina’s percent positive rate is currently declining, and we hope this trend continues.
