Good morning. The legislative session has ended. The SCSPE Annual Meeting is a couple of weeks away. Tomorrow is the last day for you to get your hotel room for the SC Engineering Conference & Trade Show if you plan on attending in person. We are excited to see some of our members in person, and we’re looking forward to you attending the conference virtually or in person. For those of you coming in-person, several of us will be going to dinner (dutch treat) on June 3, 2021. If you’d like to join us, let me know.
We will be following proper safety protocols at the SC Engineering Conference and Trade Show; as you know, we are still living in a COVID-19 world. The good news is we are continuing to see a decline in cases and deaths as more people receive the vaccine. Currently, the US has seen 32,753,426 cases, and 582,760 people have died from the Novel Coronavirus. In South Carolina, we reflect 488,797 of those cases and 8,498 of those deaths as of Monday, May 17, 2021.
