Good morning. Hard to believe we’re already almost halfway through April. It will be summer before we know it.
We continue to hope for the return of some normalcy after living with the COVID-19 Pandemic for over a year now. South Carolina vaccine rollout seems to be going well. So far, 927,654 SC resident have completed their vaccination, and 1,513,241 have received at least their first shot. South Carolina has had 471,396 total confirmed cases of the virus, and 8,165 people have died in South Carolina from the Corona Virus. Nationwide there have been 30,965,577 cases and 558,843 deaths. 21.9% of the population is now vaccinated nationwide, with 35.9% having received their first shot. It should be noted that we are looking for close to 80% of the population to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. We see some states having another surge of cases, so it is imperative that we still follow CDC/SCDHEC protocols.
