Good morning. I hope you are all off to a productive week. Tom Brady winning another Super Bowl may be a great sign that we are heading back towards “normal life.”
The Holiday surge of COVID-19 appears to be behind us. Though we are still seeing positive cases of COVID-19 and people are continuing to lose their battle with the virus, the number of daily cases and percent positive rate is starting to decline to pre-holiday numbers. As of Monday, 2/8/2021, there are 26,761,047 total cases of COVID-19 in the US, and 460,582 have perished as a result of the virus. Here in South Carolina, 414,573 have tested positive for the virus, and 6,881 South Carolinians have passed away. One thing to note, a vital number reported by SCHDEC is the 8.8% positive rate, which is a step in the right direction.
