Back to work and back to reality, we are far from the end of the COVID-19 era. While most of us were enjoying the holiday, SCDHEC announced 1,836 new cases on the Fourth of July, and on Monday, July 6, 2020, South Carolina has a total number of 46,247 confirmed cases and 819 confirmed deaths. Nationally, there have been 2,886,267 diagnosed cases of COVID-19, and 129,811 Americans have succumbed to the virus.
