
Geotechnical Engineer

Job description:
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM's mission by performing or leading a staff of geotechnical engineers primarily focused on geotechnical and civil engineering for a wide range of projects. These projects may include shallow and deep foundation design for water and wastewater treatment plants; seismic and liquefaction analyses; geoenvironmental components such as slurry walls; dams; tunnels; and civil and site design. Work will typically involve development and overseeing the implementation of related geotechnical field exploration programs, performing and managing analyses related to geotechnical design, preparation of geotechnical reports, project specifications, and geotechnical-related and civil drawings.
Marketing by providing technical support on the preparation of proposals and making technical presentations to potential clients is also required.
Travel, as much as 30% of the time over the course of a year and durations of 2 to 3 weeks at a time may be required.
